Product News: Custom Signals, Signal Triggers, and the Actions Catalog

A signal is only useful if something happens next. You can now define the signals that matter to your go-to-market, choose which built-in ones fire, and have signals start actions on their own: alert the right channel, research the company, score the lead, or draft the first email.

Custom Signal Rules

A custom rule fires the Custom Rule Matched signal when an account crosses a threshold you set. Each rule has one to five conditions, and you choose whether an account must meet all of them or any one. A condition measures one of:

  • Events: the number of matching events
  • Identified users: the number of distinct people
  • Growth: activity in the current window compared with the account's previous window, by a multiplier you set

Each condition can look at all activity, one event name, or one page path, over a window you choose (168 hours by default) against a minimum. A rule can cover all accounts or target accounts only, be limited to specific projects, and carry up to five company filters. It also has its own cooldown.

Start from a template (Repeated Pricing Visits, Product Activation, Team Adoption, or Usage Growth) or from scratch, and use Preview Matches to see which companies match before you turn the rule on. Enabled rules are evaluated about every 15 minutes, and each organization can have up to 20. Rules live under Actions → Signals.

Choose Which Built-In Signals Fire

Each built-in signal can be paused for your organization from Actions → Signals. Pausing Target Account Visited also pauses Return Visit, since a return visit depends on it.

The Actions Catalog

Actions → Browse Catalog lists the tasks you can set up. Choose one and click Add & Configure:

TaskWhat it does
Send NotificationSends a message when an event or signal fires
Prospect ResearchResearches a company and its contacts into a brief
Lead QualificationScores a lead against your ICP
Outreach DraftDrafts a cold email and a LinkedIn sequence
Activity DigestA fixed-format activity summary
Activity Digest (+ AI)An activity summary with an AI-written narrative
Enrichment DigestWhat was identified and enriched
GTM DigestA write-up of signals for each target account

Outreach Draft writes drafts only. Nothing is sent on your behalf.

Signals That Start Actions

Send Notification, Prospect Research, Lead Qualification, and Outreach Draft can run from triggers. A trigger is either an event name or a signal type, and a signal trigger can be limited to Target Accounts Only or run for All Accounts. The digests run on a schedule, daily, weekly, or monthly.

A cooldown keeps busy accounts from repeating the same work: Every Occurrence, 15 Minutes, 1 Hour, 24 Hours, or 7 Days. Send Notification defaults to Every Occurrence and AI tasks to 1 Hour, and each AI action runs at most 100 times a day from triggers.

Send Results Where Your Team Works

Set where results go on the Destinations tab: Slack, Discord, email, Telegram, a webhook, or Clay. A notification can go to more than one destination at once.

Your Actions

Your Actions lists every saved action with its last run, and the Activity Log has the full run history.

Get Started

Open Actions → Browse Catalog to add an action, and Actions → Signals to write rules or pause built-in signals. See Actions and Signals & Target Accounts.
