Run Your Go-to-Market Plays in Your AI Assistant

Connect Logspot to an AI assistant, then ask it the account questions you would otherwise build a dashboard for.

Run Your Go-to-Market Plays in Your AI Assistant

You can connect Logspot to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another AI assistant and ask it about your go-to-market data in plain language: which accounts have been active, which channels bring in revenue, and what a specific person did before they upgraded. The assistant answers from your Logspot data, limited to your organization and your permissions. This guide covers how to set it up, what it can answer, and where the dashboard is still the better tool.

What this is

The connection works through MCP, the standard way to connect an assistant to an outside tool. You add Logspot as a connection and sign in with your Logspot account, so there is no API key to paste. There are setup steps for Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, and Codex.

It reads by default. Out of the box the assistant can look things up and cannot change anything. An owner or admin can turn on a small, opt-in set of write tools, but nothing in this guide needs them.

Every tool is scoped to the organization you authorize and uses the same permissions your account has. The company, revenue, and profile tools also require your account to be an owner or admin.

Setting it up

Add Logspot as a connection in your assistant, sign in when the browser window opens, and approve the access request. The steps for each client are in the connect guide.

Questions it can answer

Each of these maps to specific Logspot tools, so the answer comes from your data rather than the assistant's general knowledge:

  • "What has acme.com done on our site in the last 30 days?" The assistant uses the company tools, which return the company's activity metrics and its most active users.
  • "Which acquisition channels brought the most revenue this quarter?" The assistant uses the revenue tools, which break revenue down by attribution channel.
  • "What did jane@acme.com do before she upgraded?" The assistant uses the profile tools, which return that person's activity, sessions, top pages, and referrers, subject to the same consent rules as the rest of Logspot.

The areas the tools cover are listed in the connect guide.

How this fits with the dashboard

The dashboard is better for exploring: seeing the shape of something, comparing two periods, or spotting a pattern you weren't looking for. The assistant is better for one specific question while you're already working somewhere else. Both read the same data.

What it can't do

By default it answers questions rather than taking actions. To research a company or draft outreach inside Logspot, use Actions. There is no continuous two-way sync between your assistant and Logspot.

It only knows what you have collected. If you aren't tracking something, the assistant can't find it.

If you've built this yourself

If you've pieced something similar together with spreadsheets, scripts, and an API key, the difference with Logspot is that the data is already joined: events, identities, companies, and revenue come from one place.
